Good Practice Resources

Key Skills are much more than a set of standards or qualifications.

You can't approach Key Skills the way you do other national curriculum or qualifications.  Key Skills are tools that we all use to be productive, useful workers and citizens of the world.  In this section you will learn about successful models for delivering Key Skills as well as pick up ideas for Key Skills activities to teach, practice and accredit Key Skills.

In short, Key Skills are learner centred.  They provide opportunities for students to take part in active learning.  Finally, they encourage students to develop a set of independent thinkng and learning tools that will prepare them for their life ahead.
